We’ve just returned from an unforgettable trip to Bulgaria — and what a beautiful, wild, and wonderfully inspiring place it is! With its rolling green hills, colourful old towns, and the friendliest locals (both human and animal!), it’s safe to say we’ve come back with our hearts full and our heads buzzing with ideas.

Our time in Bulgaria was spent wandering through quiet mountain villages, exploring vibrant markets, and enjoying the slower pace of life. We found joy in the little things — handwoven crafts, cheerful farm animals trotting through cobbled streets, and nature absolutely bursting into bloom.

And of course… we couldn’t help but bring a little of that magic home with us.

We’re so excited to be working on a brand new collection of animal-themed homewares and cards, inspired by the charming creatures we spotted and the rustic, nature-filled lifestyle we fell in love with. Think fluffy sheep nestled in wildflower fields, proud roosters strutting past wooden cottages, and a whole lot of countryside charm — all with a Handmade Hollydays twist.

These designs will celebrate the warmth, humour, and gentle spirit of rural Bulgaria, with soft earthy colours and lovingly hand-drawn characters ready to brighten up your shelves.
