What a month it has been! At One Life Build It, we believe in the power of rolling up your sleeves, dreaming big, and making it happen — one wall, one brush stroke, one act of kindness at a time. Over the past few weeks, we’ve poured heart, sweat, and creativity into our project, and we’re so excited to share some of the highlights with you.

🌱 Clearing the Way

When we first arrived, our land was overrun with waist-high weeds. This month, we finally tamed it! The transformation is already incredible — clearing the space has opened up the views, the airflow, and our imaginations for what’s to come.

🎨 A Splash of Colour

Inside the guesthouse, we’ve brought three rooms to life with fresh paint. Each one feels like another step closer to creating a welcoming space for visitors and guests in the future.

🪵 From Barn to Wood Store

We rolled up our sleeves and emptied one of the barns, giving it new purpose as a wood store. It’s now stacked and ready to fuel many cosy fires ahead.

🛠️ Breaking and Building

The main house has seen some serious changes:

• Two old ceilings came down upstairs, revealing the bones of the home.
• A stud wall has gone up for what will become the bathroom.
• And in the future kitchen, we knocked down a wall to create a brighter, more open space.

Meanwhile, the guesthouse gained a new stud wall too, marking out fresh spaces and future possibilities. Every hammer swing feels like progress.

🐾 A Life Saved

Perhaps our proudest moment wasn’t about bricks or beams at all. This month, we rescued a puppy who was found half-dead in a gutter. With care, love, and patience, this little one is now safe, warm, and part of our growing story. It’s a powerful reminder that building a life isn’t just about structures — it’s about compassion and community too.

💪 Looking Ahead

One month in, and we’re amazed at how far we’ve come — but this is just the beginning. Every cleared barn, every painted wall, every rescued life is proof of our motto:
